There are many ways to live stream your Oahu wedding. Live streaming a wedding in Hawaii is similar to live streaming anywhere in the world, but there are some differences.

First, it’s important to know that cellular service in Hawaii can be spotty. In many areas, streaming from a phone over your network connection will fail due to a weak signal.

Second, if you want your home-viewers to hear the ceremony, you’ll need to have a good source of audio.

Professional Wedding Live Stream

For my wedding live streams, I use a cellular bonding device (the LiveU Solo) to combine ATT, Verizon, and T-mobile services into one connection, and I use a content delivery network to ensure the strongest internet connection possible.

Using cellular bonding gives the best quality and success rate.

I stream from my main ceremony camera. This gives viewers at home the point of view of sitting with the other guests, and it’s the most flattering angle for you.

I also put a wireless mic on the officiant and one of you to capture the audio for your listeners. For shy couples, I can mic the officiant for the live stream and one of you separately so that you have the audio for your edited ceremony video.

I like to live stream weddings to either YouTube or Vimeo. Both are good options, but I lean towards YouTube because of a better chat feature. It’s useful to be able to update your guests if we’re running late.

Don’t forget that kiss at the end of the aisle!

Adding Live Stream to Your Hawaii Wedding

I only offer wedding live streams to couples who book one of my wedding videography packages. As this is an add-on service, I try to keep the cost lower than competitors.

I also understand the importance. Live streaming your Hawaii wedding is a way to include those who couldn’t make the trip. Those important people in your life love feeling like they were there with you, supporting you and this new chapter of your life.

If there are any technical issues with your live stream, I can upload the ceremony video that evening to make sure loved ones can watch asap. However, technical issues are extremely rare.
