A long way to Oahu.
I spent most of my twenties teaching at a university in Korea. I loved it (the students, the country, the years I had there), but Hawaii had been pulling at me for a while. So I learned some IT skills, eventually picked up a camera, and made the move. That was 14 years ago.
Wedding videography turned out to be the perfect job. A little bit of computer work in the edit. Mostly, though, it's filming happy couples on the best day of their life, in the most beautiful place I've ever lived. I've been full-time since 2018, and I'm now somewhere north of 300 Oahu weddings, plus more elopements and small ceremonies than I can count.

What I deliver, and why it matters.
Most wedding videographers deliver one highlight film. Maybe a ceremony edit if you ask.
You get six.
A full ceremony film. A cinematic highlight. A one-minute mini-highlight in both horizontal and vertical (so it's ready for anywhere you want to share it). A reception edit. And two Reel-style social films built for the way your friends and family actually watch video now.
It's more work on my end. It's also why couples book me.
Most films are delivered within about two months of your wedding day.

I shoot on Sony cinema cameras (an FX3, an A7S III, two FX30s, and a ZV-E1), and I fly a DJI Mavic 4 Pro for the aerial work (FAA Part 107 licensed, fully insured). For five-hour and all-day packages I bring a second shooter so we never miss the moment behind us. For shorter coverage it's usually just me, and the package is priced accordingly.
I've spent years on Oahu wedding days working alongside photographers, planners, coordinators, and DJs across the island, and the day goes better for everyone, including you, when the vendors actually like each other. I get along with people. I move quietly. I stay out of the photographer's frame.
A few of my favorite Oahu venues.
I've shot at almost every wedding venue on the island. A few have stayed with me.
- Pālikū Gardens: tucked into the back of Kualoa Ranch, with the Koʻolau mountains rising behind every shot. The light here at golden hour is unfair to other venues.
- Lanikūhonua: west-side estate right on the water. Sunset ceremonies here are some of the most cinematic days I've ever filmed.
- Kōʻolau Ballrooms: the dramatic mountain backdrop, the open-air ceremony space, the way every shot frames itself. I loved it so much I'm getting married there next year.
- Sunset Ranch: north shore, up in the hills, with one of the best panoramic views on the island. Worth the drive every time.

Before Hawaii I lived in Korea, Japan, and Thailand, and I've traveled most of the places in between. I'm based on Oahu year-round (not a mainland videographer flying in for your date), and I've shot at almost every venue on the island.
