A handful of private wedding venues on Oahu come to the top of everyone’s list, and I would vote for Loulu Palm as one of my favorites. The wide lawn, beachfront location, secluded location, space for your reception, and excellent staff make Loulu Palm the perfect venue for your Hawaii wedding.

Loulu Palm Ceremony Location

The lawn area near the beach is the perfect spot for a Hawaii “beach wedding” without actually being on the beach. The area is somewhat elevated, slightly looking over the beach and out to the ocean, but your guests will, of course, be focused on your beautiful ceremony.

The processional usually starts back near the main house, and of course, the bride can hide until she is ready for the grand reveal.

I love how the palm trees on the left frame the view and provide a more intimate feel.

Loulu Palms Photoshoot Opportunities for the Newlyweds

The large lawn is spread out so perfectly. The ceremony location is perfect for all those wedding arch photos/video clips, and with the beach directly in front, you don’t have to go far to be in the sand.

The palm trees and lush foliage to the left of the ceremony area are great for intimate portraits or group shots, especially if the shade provides better lighting. Personally, I love getting a top-down drone clip of couples walking between the treeline and palms (seen on the left side of the YouTube thumbnail above).

The getting-ready area is also nice for photos/videos. There’s a little bit of old Hawaiian charm with the house, and the lighting is better than average inside.

There are also excellent spots near the house. See the above video of the groom and groomsmen, which is just outside the getting-ready area. Shaded, lush, and a perfect addition to add variety to the shoot.

Receptions at Loulu Palm Estate

There are a couple of reception options at Loulu Palm. Like many other Oahu private wedding venues, you have the option to add a tent. This is a good idea if you’re worried about rain. While rain rarely affects weddings (I’m a videographer, and I rarely have an umbrella handy, if that tells you something), passing showers are common. It can rain for seconds and be gone just like that, so tents give you the peace of mind of being protected from rain.

This wedding reception at Loulu Palm Estate was amazing!

You can also use the deck area, especially if you’re a smaller group. I recommend speaking directly with a Loulu Palm coordinator to discuss options. They’re some of the best, so you’ll be in good hands.
