Most visitors to Oahu hear of Paradise Cove Luau, and located on the same property is one of my favorite Oahu wedding venues: Paradise Cove Ocean Garden.

With a large oceanfront location, there’s plenty of room for both a ceremony and reception area, and the beach area is about as private as you can find in Hawaii for your wedding day.

Not many Oahu wedding venues offer such a beautiful outdoor ceremony, reception, and private beach experience.

Having Your Wedding Ceremony at Paradise Cove Ocean Garden

When choosing a wedding venue on Oahu, one big consideration is whether to have an outdoor or indoor ceremony. Paradise Cove Ocean Garden is a great choice for your special day if you want an outdoor wedding ceremony. Other venues would be a better option if you’re looking for an indoor wedding ceremony.

Main Ceremony Location Details

Most ceremonies at Paradise Cove Ocean Garden’s wedding venue are uncovered and near the ocean. The setup usually faces the water, so the cameras often shoot into the setting sun. The large lawn provides plenty of space for a setup, long processional, and all your vendors to comfortable set up.

Paradise Cove Ocean Garden’s ceremony location is directly in front of the ocean.

A hedge provides separation from the beach area, giving an intimate and private feel. The beach area behind the ceremony location is difficult to access except from Paradise Cove, so you will not have any beachgoers photobombing your ceremony. Yet, you’ll have easy access for those amazing beach and rock photos of just the two of you.

The natural beauty of the swaying palms, lush surroundings, ocean backdrop, and sunset make a Paradise Cove Gardens wedding one your guests will never forget.

Secondary Ceremony Location or Weather Alternative

Rain is rare at Paradise Cove. Like most oceanfront venues in Hawaii, there’s usually no more than the occasional passing rain lasting only a few seconds.

Although rain is unlikely to disrupt your Hawaii wedding, it could happen. If you’re having your reception at Paradise Cove Ocean Garden and opted for a tent, that could provide an alternative ceremony location, but it’s not likely you’ll need to worry about rain.

On those very rare days when the rain comes and goes, umbrellas are enough to keep everyone dry, and photos and videos still can come out incredibly beautiful. So I recommend deciding you’re going to have an amazing day regardless of what the weather does. I’ve seen it a million times: the day will be incredible if the couple is happy, so don’t let any hiccups affect your day.

Paradise Cove Ocean Garden Photoshoot Opportunities

We are fortunate in Hawaii to have such awesome wedding venues to work at, and Paradise Cove Ocean Gardens is right up there with the best of them. There are plenty of photo and video opportunities with the sea in the background, lush surroundings, and swaying palms.

Paradise Cove is next to a very secluded beach with great photo and video opportunities.

Make sure to include time for your couple’s shoot in the timeline, preferably around sunset if you’re having your reception on location.

Drone footage is always amazing here, but please note that the venue requires your videographer to be fully licensed, registered, and have a certificate of insurance (I meet these requirements).

Reception Options for Paradise Cove Ocean Garden

The large lawn easily provides enough space for an outdoor reception. Enjoy your celebration surrounded by the same natural beauty as your ceremony, with the ocean breeze and amazing sunset leading you into the night.

After your photoshoot on the beach, hit the bar and mingle with your guests, knowing that the details you went over in the planning process will be executed perfectly. The day’s stress will have melted away at this point in the evening, allowing you and your partner to unwind and focus on fun with your guests.

Your planner can help you decide on details for food, seating, tent or no tent, and bar options. Great service is easy to find in Hawaii, so make sure you have the help you need.

Hopefully, this information and the videos will help you envision what you can expect on your special day at Paradise Cove Ocean Garden. It can be difficult planning a wedding from far away, so watching videos from Hawaii wedding videographers should help you, but I always recommend reaching out to the event planners at the venues you’re interested in. Most event planners and wedding coordinators are extremely helpful, and they’ll be the ones helping you select your venue and plan your perfect wedding day.

And if you visit Hawaii for a site visit beforehand, consider combining the trip with an evening at Paradise Cove Luau. You won’t regret it.
