A handful of private wedding venues on Oahu come to the top of everyone’s list, and I would vote for Loulu Palm Estate as one of my favorites, especially for a North Shore Oahu venue.
A comparison that comes to mind is Lanikuhonua, but a difference is that Loulu Palm is a secluded beachfront venue, whereas Lanikuhonua is oceanfront without a view of the beach. Both are spectacular!
The expansive lawn, beachfront location, secluded location, space for your reception, and excellent staff make Loulu Palm the perfect wedding venue for your Hawaii wedding.

Loulu Palm Getting-Ready Rooms
Most couples choose to get ready on-site at Loulu Palm. Their vintage Hawaii home has welcome suites that provide a convenient way for couples to get ready without worrying about traveling all the way to the venue fully dressed.
The bridal suite is the larger space, perfect for a small wedding party to get ready. There’s a smaller room to get ready as well, and although these rooms are nearby each other, there is privacy to hide the bride before the first look.

Loulu Palm Ceremony Location
The lawn area near the secluded beach is the perfect spot for wedding ceremonies. It’s beachfront without actually being on the beach. The area is somewhat elevated, slightly looking over the turquoise blue water and out to the ocean, but your wedding guests will, of course, be focused on your beautiful ceremony.
The processional usually starts back near the main house, and of course, the bride can hide until she is ready for the grand reveal.
Guests will make their way past the house to the open lawn, passing the reception area to head to the ceremony location. If you’re planning on having welcome drinks, a sign-in table, or something special to greet them, this is a great idea to enhance their experience of the wedding venue.
Once they finally make their way out to the beachfront ceremony spot, they’ll be in awe of how beautiful Loulu Palm Estate is.
I love how the palm trees on the left frame the view, providing a more intimate feel.
Receptions at Loulu Palm Estate
There are a couple of reception options at Loulu Palm. Like many other Oahu private wedding venues, you have the option to add a tent. This is a good idea if you’re worried about rain. While rain rarely affects weddings (as a videographer, I rarely use an umbrella, which may tell you something), passing showers are common, so it’s good to have some protection. It can rain for seconds and be gone just like that, so tents give you the peace of mind of being protected from rain.
Loulu Palm’s tent is beautiful. I personally love the Clear Sail top pole tent, but that’s because I enjoy capturing those reception drone shots. These are great for any wedding venue.
You can also use the deck area, especially if you’re a smaller group. I recommend speaking directly with a Loulu Palm coordinator to discuss options. They’re some of the best, so you’ll be in good hands, ensuring your wedding day is perfect.
There is so much space, making it incredibly easy to have a bar, dance area, mingling area, room for malasadas or shave ice, and for lawn games. And it’s so close to head out for sunset photos.

Loulu Palms Photoshoot Opportunities for the Newlyweds
The expansive, lush lawn is spread out so perfectly for a wedding venue. The ceremony location is perfect for all those wedding arch photos/video clips, and with the secluded beach directly in front, you don’t have to go far to be in the sand.
The palm trees and lush foliage to the left of the ceremony area are great for intimate portraits or group shots, especially if the shade provides better lighting.
Personally, I love getting a top-down drone clip of couples walking between the treeline and palms (seen on the left side of the YouTube thumbnail above).
The getting-ready area is also nice for photos/videos. There’s a little bit of old Hawaiian charm with the house, and the lighting is better than average inside.
There are also excellent spots near the house. See the above video of the groom and groomsmen, which is just outside the getting-ready area. Shaded, lush, and a perfect addition to add variety to the shoot.
Conclusion
A Loulu Palms Estate wedding is a great venue to consider for your Oahu wedding day. It’s intimate yet spacious, and it offers all of what most couples look for in a venue.
Other wedding venues to consider with a similar vibe would be the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute and Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch.
